my car was totaled in an auto accident on Jan, 2, 2008 I was not at fault. On Jan 3rd I hired an attorney he stopped communicating with me so I fired him. On Jan 7th I hired another attorney, the therapist started coming to my home giving me therapy in almost 3 months he has come to my home to give me therapy on 24 times I complain to him about my pain he says I should be getting better but if I'm not getting the right therapy I will never get better. I have called my attorney on several occasions about this matter the say they will find another Dr. but they never get back to me. I feel they are not working for me they are doing what they want to do. What are my rights at this point.:mad:What is the name of your state?Texas

like everything else in life you have to control these details. Maybe it's just me but I'm the CEO of my life and I hire specialists to do things I can't, but i'm still the boss. However force isn't the only way to get things done. Tact is more important. For example you didn't, "fire" the first lawyer, he didn't see enough merit to take your case on contingency right?

People often use PT or chiropractors to run the bill up which increases the amount of cash they get. But winning is not automatic, insurance companies have started fighting back and chiropractors are among the most vicious creditors out there. It could be you're with Allstate or some aggressive agency and your lawyer doesn't want to waste time on a case he isn't sure of. I'd hold off on any more therapy. As far as your rights there are no rights involved other then the right to hire a new lawyer or to try and settle with the insurance company directly (offer them 3 times the amount you spent on medical bills plus 50% the 50% is your negotiating room. if you were seriously injured (spent time in critical care) that can go up to 5 times the cost of medical specials.

Lawyers are not doctors. You should not rely on a lawyer for medical treatment. If you are injured, go to a doctor.
