My son has lived with me for 2 years. We live in the state of CA. About a year ago child support services decided to sue me for child support starting 5 months AFTER my son started living with me. I contacted the DA's office and talked to someone, They requested all the proof I had which consisted of 17 documents of school records and reportcards, immunization, and so on. They also requested a signed letter from my ex wife with a copy of her Drivers License. I faxed in all the stuff. I gave them the number and address to where my ex lived and worked and said to contact her if they needed more information. over 6 months go by, and now im getting notices that im 30 days late for payment. I have took the time out of my full time work to contact child services about this issue. I have calls over 10 times and i am told that everyone is busy and someone will call me back. No one ever has called back, and no one has tried to reach me about this matter. I also keep a log of everytime I contact them and what they say. They say if i dont pay it will effect my credit, but i cant even get ahold of someone to let them know i dont owe anything at all. I am totally getting screwed for no reason. I would like to know if there is a legal course of action I can take against them. They obvioulsy have no idea where my son has been at the last 2 years or who's care he's been in or what school he even goes to... This is a bunch of bull and there has to be a way for me to fight back against this injustice...

Please help me with advise...

Thank you.
Anthony
