What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IN
According to info I have gotten, the SOL on a credit card debt in Indiana is 6 years. Okay that would be 6 years from what? Is that 6 years from last payment I made, 6 years since they charged off the card? If I stopped using/paying on a CC in say Jan of 2002, would it now be a SOL case?

Usually from the first action which led to the default. i.e. the last payment you made on the account, or last charge to it. Known as the "date of last activity".

it would more accurately be the first date of delinquency after which there has been no activity which is, in a monthly payment situation, 1 month past the last payment.

there is no delinquency until you do not make the payment due in that month.

and yes, if you charge something to the account past that date, then the date of the charge is the start.
