About 6 mos ago I ordered a sewing machine and a serger from an online vendor. There were a lot of problems getting my order. It came in drips and drabs and I had to complain a LOT to get everything. First I got the serger, which was fine, but no sewing machine (and other stuff I'd ordered). So after I complain I finally get my sewing machine but it's not the one I ordered. It is, in fact, a better machine than I ordered. I kept it, figuring they'd upgraded me to make up for the hassle.

So last week I get a letter from this company telling me that they realized they'd sent the wrong machine and I either needed to send it back or pay the difference (about 100.00 retail). I haven't replied yet.

I've been using this machine for months now and I feel I'm entitled to keep it without further compensation to them, but what I feel doesn't mean anything when it comes to the law so that's why I'm here. What are my legal obligations to this company? The company, if it matters, is located in LA.

Thanks in advance, I look forward to my verbal reaming.
