I signed a stipulation in bronx,ny landlord and tenant court, I am
am on public assistance and my case was closed. I signed
the stip after I received a notice from fair hearing that
all rent and other monies owed me would be paid, upon receiving the decision. So far the dept. of social services
has not lived up to their end of the deal. According to
dss I should receive retroactive monies 3/20/2001. The
stip was signed for 3/16/2001. Should I go to court and
file an order to show cause and explain what happened.
they will send an eviction 8 days after stip is not paid.

Have you notified dss IN PERSON and handed them a copy of your stip? Saying you need them to send you your money by the 16th,not the 20th?

And get it signed by your case worker? If so then file an OSC with the paperwork, and the landlord will have to give you more time to pay him since its NOT your fault.
