what do i do???

ok it all started when this guy i know decided he really liked me and threatened to beat up my ex if he didnt break up with me... after i found out and confronted him about it hes gone around threatening to kill or hurt me, my friends and my family. he had bought me some stuff and since hes now mad at me he expects me to pay him back and claims hes gonna bring it to court. and that when he brings it to court that hes gonna win because he know the person on the bench personally. now he told me all this on yahoo messenger and when i told him i was going to save all the messages i sent he said that he was going to fry my computer so i couldnt prove it.... i dont know what to do... some one please help me!!! im afraid for my friends, my familys and my own well being and safty. ive gone to the cops but they wont do anything because his dad is a state cop so they wont believe me... i no longer know who to turn to

If you feel threatened in any way you must go to the police.

If you haven't already, print out his messages threatening you in case you have to go to court. You can use them for evidence.

Send back anything he gave you via UPS and request that they get his signature for it. The receipt is something you can take to court if he chooses to make it an issue.

That he would win in court because he knows "the person on the bench" is nonsense. If he knew them, he'd give you their name.

Did someone actually tell you they wouldn't take action against him because his dad's a state cop? I think you're making up that part of the story to make yourself look helpless.
