What do you need to provide the DRE for an investigation?

I was wrongly reported to the DRE for some sort of violation. The DRE has requested the "file." I am not sure what to include other than: Listing agreement, Purchase agreement, any and all addendums. Is there anything else i need to include? Such as all email correspondence between buyers and sellers? Would emails be absolutly necessary when the DRE vaguely asked for the "file."?

If the DRE is investigating, you better get an attorney. If you're wrong about the definition of "file", it could mean your license.

**A: are you the principal broker or an agent under the broker? If an agent, you need to talk to your broker. Generally the DRE cites sections of the law or let's you know what the violations were. They do not have time to go on a witch hunt.
