What is the name of your state? MS

My husband's ex got remarried this month. He didn't get his daughter because her wedding was on his scheduled weekend. His ex moved out of her home last month, without notifying him of her new address. So, now his child support is due, and he has no idea where to send it or even how to reach her. He hasn't talked to his daughter, because he doesn't even have a phone number any longer. She is a school teacher, so she's off until school starts next month. His daughter called last night before we got home from work, but the caller ID showed the number blocked and all she said was "Daddy, I'm not coming this weekend. Mama said I could stay at so-and-so's house and go to a birthday party since they didn't get to come to Mama's wedding. "

What does he do about his c/s? What does he do about knowing where his daughter is living now? The check has been written out but what does he do about getting it to her? He called his attorney and he said he'd send a letter to her attorney, but that's been a couple of weeks, and so far no reply. Should he just send the check to her attorney? But then, he still wouldn't know where his daughter is living, or how to reach her. Their divorce papers say they have to notify each other in writing when their phone number or address changes.

P.S. He tried calling his ex-in-laws. They told him "She's not any of your business" and hung up on him.

I'd send a check to my attorney and ask him to forward it along to hers. I'd also ask my attorney to send a letter to hers stating that she's interfering with visitation. Unless she stops (and also provides her contact information), you will be filing a contempt motion against her.

He really needs to get on this and nip it in the bud now. This is how it starts. I remember when we got that first phone call saying "mom said I could spend the night with my friend this weekend because she's moving out of state and I won't be seeing her anymore" (funny thing is, we heard that same excuse twice), it escalated and snowballed and now we haven't seen her in 2 years. If he wants to stay in his daughters life, get his lawyer on this now.

Then she is in contempt of court for not notifying you about her address and phone number and also in contempt for denying visitation. As the other posters said, your attorney needs to talk to her attorney and let him/her know about this.

Make sure you document everything with the date it occured on.
