What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

I was asked to post this .
My friend has worked for a local market for about three years. He is handicapped and has some anger issues. From what I have heard the store union steward has some attitude and a lot of the employees are a little "tired" of her. Last week was the last straw for him he walked out after she said something to him. From the conversation my friend said that a customer asked him to scan a coupon for them and the woman yelled at him for doing so. Instead of going to the manager he walked out. A few months earlier a customer asked for a food stamp balance and she refused.

I told my friend to call the shop steward to see what his options was and that is when I was told that the person giving him trouble WAS the steward !
I am trying to convince him to call the local union rep and see what his options are but he is the type to just say fugget it and look for another job. I on the other hand feel that she should contact the union rep ( after all that is what you are paying them for) to see if something can be done.
Thanks for any help you can give.
