What does the Army require??

What is the name of your state? Colorado.

My ex is in the Army, and is stationed in AK. He has had custody of my daughter since 11/04, with each of us having "substantially equal" parenting time (according to the CO). He only let me have 6 weeks of parenting time for the entire year of 2005. (We are currently in a custody battle to rectify this...)

In August of 2005, he was deployed to Iraq. He left my daughter with her step-mom and did NOT notify me of his deployment, but did sign POA to his wife.

Is this standard practice in the Army? Is there any sort of military rule concerning notification to the NCP of deployment orders?

TIA.
