What does the label or title “suppressed” mean when listed on top of someone’s background check?

Why would this occur?
I don't know. Juvenile records and sealed records can be withheld (suppressed), though.

And it could mean that the background check report is to be excluded as evidence.

For what reason was there a background check?

It seems as though parts of their background (periods of time) are missing.but they have some criminal records showimg that seem odd.
It’s for an employee of ours that we were considering renting a room to.

You are not going to be able to access sealed records.

Have you tried using a different background check company to see if it there are differences in what is reported?

If you are concerned by the background check report, I suggest you don't rent to him.
