The hospital & I disagree on the amount I owe - but I have paid exactly what I said I would and never missed a payment. On my final check, I wrote "paid in full" on both sides of the check, and hosp personnel promptly cashed it.
Now 4 months have passed & I receive a coll ltr from an out-of-state coll agency.
The Validation of Debt letter is ready, but should I also enclose the copy of the cashed check, or wait until I hear back - I am thinking I should also send a letter to the Attorney General's office and let them get into the mix. I appreciate any opinions.
