Hi,
For purpouses of collecting an a civil judgment during the defendants appeal, when is a appeal perfected? when the notice of appeal is served ? After the brief is written?
When looking into my options on collecting my judgment, the term regarding "once the appeal is perfected" is mentioned. However I can't find its true legal meaning anywhere.

Fact or opinion I do not know for sure, however I have been informed (in my words ) that the term perfecting an appeal, simply relates to the following : pursuing and retaining the status of having a valid appeal.
