What is the name of your state? Ohio
My husband got a letter in the mail today from the Juvenile Court in the county where his 16 year old daughter now resides. There is an assault complaint against her due to a physical confrontation with my 15 year old daughter. In this letter, it states that Juvenile Court has the alternative to process the case formally or informally, and that the informal process would include involvement with thier Juvenile Diversion Program. The letter does not say what the Juvenile Diversion Program is...only that the complaint can be settled without formal involvement of the court.
What exactly is a Diversion Program? Has anyone had any experience with it?
