What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

My daughter, 20, just recently moved back home because her and her boyfriend broke up. They have a 3 year daughter, my grandaughter. Since my daughter has moved home she has not taken responsibility of her child.
Example: My daughter who I've made clear that I will not watch her daughter so she can go out and party has than started taking her lil girl with her to who knows where, and won't come home with the baby until 4 or 5 in morning during the week . Since than I have made it my duty to pick up the baby from her father, who watches her during the day, and bring her home. The baby is really attached to me and my husband and so when its time to go to bed she wants to come with us. the problem is my daughter will than leave the house and not bother coming home until two or three days later. in the meantime i am bathing feeding taking care of this baby's needs, and her father is very proactive in taking care of his lil girl but is really in no shape to keep her full time. my daughter on the other hand will choose to be with her boyfriend and not come home the entire weekend and when she is home she does nothing for that baby, emotionally or physically.

I have documented the times she leaves and returns etc etc....

Are these grounds enough to get temp custody of my grandchild? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

Sincerely a Very sad Grandmother

The courts would look at placing child with father before you if he is willing. Speak to the father about going down and filing. You have the right to kick your daughters lil rear out of your house.

Not while Dad is capable and apparently willing to take care of her.
