What is the name of your state? Mi

erm..I'm in my early, early twenties and i was not eligible for insurance through my employers. however i went to the emergency room recently and the bill is shockingly high. There is no possible way I can ever pay them back. The big question today is...what happens if I don't pay them back? Will I just be plagued with bad credit?...for how long??

*** The consequences can range from absolutely nothing (if the creditor doesn't report or pursue- very unlikely) through the likelihood of it being reported to the credit agency (and impacting your credit record or SEVEN years) all the way up to the creditor getting a judgment against you and garnishing wages, seizing bank accounts and placing liens against your property.
