I have an interlock device along with a conditional discharge for first offense DWI misdemeanor. On Sunday afternoon I failed a start up test due to cough medicine. I had to bring it to the service provider to get it reset. I was wondering what the legal result will be of this violation?

*sniff* I smell cupcakes. Now granted that could be my bodywash and body mist but maybe you use the same?

Okay OP, so what proof do you have that it was cough medicine? How long after taking the cough medicine did you blow? When is the last time you have had ANYTHING to drink? Why were you using cough medicine with alcohol in it anyway?

You may find yourself with a major issue that the prosecutor does not believe you or believes you drank cough medicine but with the idea of using it to get drunk.

Ok you failed the interlock and could not start the vehicle .

More importantly ,what are your stipulations of your " conditional discharge " ( ? ) for a DWI conviction ?
