What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington State.
My saga continues with my crazy ex, she has filed twice for a dv restraining order against me and they have both been denied by two different judges. Well, now on the last one that was denied she has filed for a Motion for Reconsideration. The judge did not hear anything when in court today but did not seem very happy with the whole situation. May have to go back for another hearing, she said she would review it and the courts would notify me if I needed to appear for a hearing. What are grounds for a reconsideration? And why won't this crazy lady leave me alone!!? I know you can't answer that question but I sure would like to know why and when this will end.

A Motion for Reconsideration is asking the judge to reconsider their decision, rather than going for a full-fledged appeal.

They aren't very easy to win, but it is possible. (Judges aren't fond of them, because it is essentially relitigating a decided issue, however, judges are human and do make mistakes. Or don't document their decisions very well, and the reconsidering judge is left scratching their head wondering how that conclusion was arrived at and coming up empty.)
