I interview for a position in a city office. The person who I interview with was a attorney. Something I said in the interview was taken out of context and spead around to other people. Therefore, I was fired from my position because of this. Can I file a grevience against this person or is there anything that I can do?

These kinds of things are very local, and each locality has its own rules and processes.

Do you have a Union? Ask them. If not, ask the personnel unit what the options are.
