What is the name of your state? NY- I have a question- When a landlord who signed a one year lease with a tenant and sells the house can the new owner opt to have the house vacant without the tenant.
The newer owner has to honor the lease (former owner must make sure to provide leases, as well as transfer security deposits at closing). The new owner can ask the tenants to leave, even offer a $$$ incentive, but the tenants are under no obligation to leave.
