What is the name of your state? IN

I am a member of a non-profit Board. An Ex-Board member accused me of stealing money from the organization thru the paypal account that we have to sell merchandise, collect dues, collect donations. Our account is tied into our organizations checking account of which I am authorized to sign. All transactions in paypal are electronically recorded and any expenses paid from there have a hard copy invoice to go with them. Our accountant verified this and I am not stealing.

This ex-Board member has now obtained our membership list from another ex-Board member. Is this legal or ethical? She is now calling all the members and telling them what an evil person I am and how I am stealing from the organization and caused our former Executive Director to be fired. (She actually resigned and was in no danger of being fired.)

1) Is is legal or ethical for a ex-Board member to give another ex-Board member our membership list for this purpose or any purpose?

2) Is it legal or ethical for this ex-Board member to be contacting our membership list and spreading lies about me?

3) What course of action can I take?

Thanks.
