Question about Builders who use realestate agents to sell their new homes?
Are realestate agents required before they list newly constructed homes to ask if the contractor is licensed? ie has a contractors license as required by state law.
The situation is the realestate agent has sold one or two homes a year for 5 to 7 years that the builder is selling through this agent.
Law states that a owner/builder can sell one home every two years and not be required to be a licensed contractor. So the builder is in state violation of the law in selling more than one home every two years. Is the agent also in violation of the law by selling this builders homes?
