in effort to obtain child support payments i have filed with the prosecuting attorney's office. A warrant will be issued. How does this work? If i know of his whereabouts can i call the sherriffs office to let them know or will he just have to be pulled over before this is recognized? What do i do next?

Is NCP in same state? same county/town? If he's local, the warrant enforcement office usually takes care of going out to get him.

Not to deflate anything, but I just want to warn you that if he's far enough in arrears to allow for a bench warrant, he probably already knows they'll eventually come looking for him. He's probably already laying very low, and may not be where you think he is. Have you been in contact with him? Does he see his child(ren) for visitations?

This scenario is very similar to mine. A bench warrant is a type of warrant. There is a difference (criminal warrant vs. civil warrant). A bench warrant is just a civil warrant. How much is he in arrears for? If it's over $5,000, it's quite possible that the warrant the prosecuting attorney's office will issue is a criminal one in your state. I'd have to research if Arkansas allows for criminal prosecution in child support cases. Where I am in PA, they do not (YET!). In any event, they'll need to find him. You're saying he's not staying at his last known address - the mother's house? Do you know the address of the new girlfriend/wife? The enforcement folks are only going to go to the last known address. They don't have the resources to do all this tracking, searching and hunting down of the deadbeats.

two warrants?

i don't know exactly where in this town, i have told this to the authorities. it is a small town in a different county. I believe that i do have a bench warrant pending due to the most recent order. In arkansas the amount for criminal charges is 2500, the past due amount is well over that and this the type of warrant recently issued. He keeps in touch with his ex wife and she relays this information to me. Her grandmother hates him with a passion and wishes she would do the same as I. I dont think she has the courage. Anyway, i believe he has "warned" her not to come close (says he lives on a hill in this town and has guns). Maybe since surely his mother knows of his whereabouts that she could be charged or required to tell this information? i'll get him .

Ignore him. He's just looking for a fight from anybody willing to participate. And obviously bitter about having to pay for the child support arrearage he's racked up (from reading his initial posts). And not a very good father himself since he's dying to find out how he can throw away his parental rights in return for money.
