on my own filed papers for voiding the marriage and received a answer back from her lawyer.I know I have to file the paperwork with the court but can I respond to her answer. She is asking that I pay court costs even though she makes more than I do and I would like the courts to have her pay my costs and have her pay for the cost of redoing the bedrooms of her and her daughter which cost me all my savings and ran into over $5000.00 and the rooms are now vacant and no use to me.She was a illegal alien who moved out after 6 months of marriage and 2 months after getting her green card.No abuse or anything from me.What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

She is NOT going to be ordered to pay you the money for the bedrooms. That is a CHOICE you made and you have the benefit of that. Are you divorcing or do you want an annulment? She can ask that you pay court costs. How does she make more than you do if she was an illegal alien and just got her green card?

You'd better thank your lucky stars if she makes more money than you, if you sponsored her. And hope she never loses that job since if you sponsored her, you are obligated to support her until she becomes a citizen or permanently leaves the country, regardless of divorce or even annullment, nothing takes away that sponsorship.

She has been running a sewing business here in town for 3 years and does pretty good.It was in her sisters name till she got her green card then put it in her name. She has been in this country for 11 years now.
