What is the name of your state? Massachusetts

My car broke down and I had a Triple A service station tow it to their garage to fix it. They asked me the symptoms and asked if it was ok to put $10.00 worth of gas in it and some fuel injector cleaner. Then they called me and said that it was all set to pick up. I was handed a bill for $128.00 which I paid. I drove the car fifty feet and it broke down and wouldnt start. They came and got the car, and a few days later said that it was all set again. I drove the car 4 miles and broke down again, with the same original problem. The $128.00 charge was for a fuel filter for which the cost is $9.99 which includes the 30 percent that they are allowed to mark it up. They charged me 19.99 for the fuel injector cleaner which costs $1 - 2.00 at an auto parts store, which again is way more than the 30% they are supposed to mark it up. And they charged $65.00 for an hour of labor.

My question is, can they do this, and should I have to pay what they charged, when my car is still broken down. I don't trust them now, for obviou s reasons. My car is a 92 Chrysler Lebaron which needs a new top and exhaust system, and there is a problem shifting. The reason I mention this is because, I feel that $128 is a lot to pay for someone to guess (wrongly)on what they are doing to repair it, at my expense. Do I have grounds to dispute this on my credit card? Could anyone tell me what the law is in regards to this? Thanks in advance for any advice.

The time to dispute a bill is when you get it, not after you paid it. In a free market, sellers can charge whatever the market will bear ... and that's apparently $128
