I need some assistance. I was accused by the HR
Manager of putting a typed note and box of penis shaped candy on my
co-workers desk. My co-worker said she thought me and another coworker
did it. I was threatened with strict disciplinary action if they found
out I did it or know who did and would not say. I was also told if the
person did not come forward that we would be fingerprinted.

From a legal stand point I felt as if I needed an attorney at that meeting. I
felt like I was already being tried and convicted before the questioning
began. Please advise me on what I can and should do. I had nothing to
do with that and do not know who did it. I did not see anything and do
not appreciate the accusation.

I have had no disciplinary action taken against me during my employment. I started with the company last March. I would like, after the fingerprinting, nothing less than a formal apology from HR, the person who did it and and person who accused me of doing it.

I have a good work ethic and am a professional person. I do not play
pranks on anyone and know how to conduct myself as such. I need to
clear my name and would appreciate your assistance.
