Ok i live in Allentown,PA and i was working through a temp. service at airborne express and was putting the express mail on the belt to be sent to the primary feed. Well after that i was taking the empty mail bin to where the centrally store the bins, and i asked the lady what should i do with the bin, and she told me to put it next to the other bins on the wall in back of the security officer's desk, so i do that. The securtiy officer(which airborne express contracted that security company)jumps outta his seat and comes in my face and tells me that the bin doesnt belong there, get it away from there, i till him the lady told me to put it there, and i started to walk away, well he grabs my arm and starts yelling at me to put it away, when he has no right to tell me what to do, well then the lady walks over and tells him the same thing that i could put it there till she gets around to it. So the guard starts yelling and calls me a
F@#king Stupid @sshole, and i was F@#k you man who are you to talk to me like that, and he grabs me by my shirt, and punches me in the throat, and killed my air supply, then punched me in the left cheek slightly under my eye. I havent seen a doctor or specialist yet, because i think nothing is wrong with me, except that im having problems with my throat, I have a managers witness and a police report to verify all this.

My question was, who is liable for these actions? airborne express?security company?and the officer??

What should i do about this?

How much of a settlement could i be involved in if my injuries are minor, and how much is they are major?

Based purely on your post, it sounds like the Security Guard and his employer could be liable. Additionally, you might be able to bring some responsibility by Airborne (for not providing safe work, negligence in contracting with the security firm, etc.).

I would suggest that you contact a Personal Injury attorney as soon as possible. As for the amount of possible recovery, it could be somewhere between $1 and $100 million (really no way for us to know the extent of damages, pain/suffering, etc.)... talk with your attorney.
