What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? alabama, I think my insurance company is prolonging my insurance claim. the loss of my son was due to a homicide but they are waiting on medical records. i reported the claim about three months ago sent all requested information in. what should i do now. they said that it is a contestable claim because the policy was not inforce for a year or two. please any advice will be appreciated. c

You must cooperate with their investigation. Read the policy and make sure they are following it. They do have the right to investigate and contest the claim.
