There is a man made lake behind our homes incase of fire. There is four of us who's property's go across to the other side of this lake. Every summer it's the same thing. We keep asking the people two houses down not to canoe or sail their sail boat down in front of our back yard. The lake is not that big. Who wants to see these people in your yard when you come home from work to relax on your deck. This is getting old every summer. What can we do to finally put a stop to this.

Your objection is SEEING people out on the water canoeing? Why is that objectionable? Hell, I'd be out on the lake or pond in the summer if I lived on one. I'm across form Lake Michigan and it's too rough and cold to enjoy that way.

what to do II New Jersery

Just to let you know this is not like a Lake Michigan. There is only four (4)
homes along this lake or pond. Which is about 500 ft. long & 50 ft. wide if that. All four of our property's go to the other side. It was initally dug for a water source for fires. Our deed shows our land over on the other side with stone markers. Seems the neighbors want to be warm & fuzz, that is until someone ends up getting hurt or drowning. I guess that makes all four of us liable. Is no trespassing signs enough to cover us? We all know how everyones sue happy these days.

Sounds to me like if the property on which the water sits is not your property, you are going to have to live with it.
