What is the name of your state? WV

Landlord died. Left us the property we live on, which is legally a corporation. I am basically listed as manager. Her sister is executor of will. Very complex will, lots of assets going in many directions. Two bank accounts for the corp, and lots of bills to pay. Sister is told by Lawyers to close out accounts and pay bills. Sister finds that I am the only signator on the largest account. I knew nothing about it. That was the one that was always used to pay the bills, and the landlord paid them. We're wondering what should be done? Should I have her send me the bills and pay them myself? Should I have the bank release the money to her? Am I even obligated to turn over the money to the estate at all if mine is the only name on it?

Your issue is not for an internet forum. We would have to not only read the will, but also the coporation papers, charter and the bank statements to gain a full understanding of the situation.

Then, a full review of the probate code of your state as well as the corporation codes.

Sit down with the attorney and hash this out.
