What is the name of your state? Georgia
Here is the problem-I answered an employment ad on the internet to work at home. I sent the requested documents and received a labor contract I signed that and sent it back--all of this is done through the email system. I was to be an account manager-transferring funds from a pay pal account to my bank account and then withdrawing funds to western union them to someone else. Then company that hired me was to deposit the funds in my pay pal account. Well I have performed 2 transactions for them and now I have received 2 emails from e-bay stating that items that were to be shipped to people were not received and that my pay pal account will be charged the money if I don't ship the items. Well the problem is I don't have an ebay account and the ebay account I did have is closed and can't be used. I would like to know if I am liable for the money, and since I do not have an ebay account, should I inform the people that think I should ship them their merchandise that I don't have an ebay account and also can my personal bank account be tied up because of this. I think I have been scamed. What should I do?

My response:

"I think I have been scammed."

Gee, you think so? You're a Georgia resident. That should have been a big tip-off to you.

what to do?

I am sure that you were trying to be encouraging, and helpful by saying what you said, however I am looking for some solid advice. I am sure that you have some, but if you don't, please stop with the unhelpful comments.
Thanks again

how much money is involved?

you basically signed a contract to LAUNDER money for someone else.

It sounds like they set up an eBay account in your name, then offered items for auction with no intent to ever deliver them.
You agreed to act at the "front" for this.
They take the money, you get stuck will all the bills and complaints.

If you don't have an eBay account, they can't very well close it can they?
If you did not set up the eBay account, let them close it.
If you have a bank account tied to the Paypal account, you might want to consider removing it from that account or closing the checking account entirely.

You might be liable for the money if the other people that got scammed decided to take you to court or press charges.
