What is the name of your state? IL

I will be moving from Illinois to South Carolina to be closer to my oldest daughter. She will be graduating high school in a couple of years and since I spent 13 years of her life in the military and constantly moving around I want a chance to have a closer relationship with her. She is extatic about this and cannot wait for me to get there. I know that I do not need the courts permission to move (for my other 2 kids) but how would I go about notifying her?

My court papers state that I need to inform her within 14 days of her move but we are going to be staying at an INN that is already booked and paid for, for a month in order to find an apartment. I do not want to give her that address and then have to give her my permanent address and her try to say that I am unstable in court by having to move so much but it is my understanding that I have to tell her that I moved. Should I just give her the address to the INN for the month and then in the letter explain that I am simply staying there for a month and then I will inform her of my perm address or just avoid it all together and tell her once I find a perm address?

That's what I would do. Of course, I'd also be looking at how to modify the visitation schedule, if necessary.

i would send a certified letter stating that on XX date you will be relocating to SC, at which time you will stay at XX INN for a period of approx 1 month to locate perm. housing. Address of perm housing will follow as soon as it is available.

Amen :)

and good luck.

I already have one. I live 1500 miles away from my kids right now.

And if you live closer you will probably wnat more time than the visitation schedule currently allows.

I won't be living closer, farther actually. It is my oldest that I am moving closer to and I allow her at her age to choose when she wants to visit.
