What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Massachusetts
I bought a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo in March of 2009. Everything was going great with the vehicle until July of 2009. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. Upon driving the vehicle I noticed my brakes started to make a loud squealing noise ( the type of noise your brake pads make when they need to be replaced). I kept taking my vehicle back to the dealer for them to repair it. I was told several different problems about my vehicle and was told each and every time my problem was fixed. Upon taking it to the same dealer 6 times I took it to another Jeep dealer. They said that clearly there was a problem with my brakes but they wouldn’t be able to do the repair because i was over mileage on the warranty ( by 100 miles). And if it was to be fixed under warranty I would need to take it to the dealer who had originally been working with me. I tried to schedule another appointment with dealer number 1. I was told by the GENERAL MANAGER that there was no problem with my vehicle and if I had a problem with the way they had been servicing my vehicle then to take it elsewhere. He also told me to be quiet and listen to what he had to say if I wanted to get anything accomplished during the conversation. I immediately hung up the phone and contact Chrysler. Chrysler contacted the dealer I bought the vehicle from and arranged for me to bring my car there.
At dealer number 3 they found I had severe damage to my brake pads and rotors. They fixed this problem and also ordered a part of my heating system to be replaced as well due to a clicking noise it was making every time I turned the air on or off. I scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival I was told they would not be able to fix my vehicle because there wasn't enough time to replace the ehating component as they had to remove my entire dashboard. I rescheduled for a different day. Upon picking it up from this repair I was told they damaged some interior pieces and they would need to be replaced. I brought it back again, they fixed the damaged pieces and sent me on my way. A few days later I attempted to use my rear wiper only to have wiper fluid stream from the handle of the vehicle onto my lap inside of the car. I took it back and found out that when they replaced the heating component of my car they forgot to reattach the line to the back window. I got into my vehicle today to find the heating component is making the same clicking noise it was prior and will need to go into the shop again.
I have contacted Chrysler and am asking them to buy back my vehicle. I have had my fair share of problems and have had enough. Now my senior case representative will not return my phone calls.
What do I do at this point? I do not want a vehicle that keeps breaking. Every time it goes in I have to take a half day at work to arrange for its drop off and pick up. I don't have any more time left to keep dealing with a defective 2009 vehicle.
