What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Utah. I have just requested a hearing with the Drivers License Division on my for a suspended license since Jan 2005. I was arrested and convicted of reckless driving (prescription drug related) on December 9th 2004. At the time of the arrest I was on a program to reduce a prior DUI to a reckless driving so the plea deal was dropped and I was charged with the prior DUI from 2002. For this charge I was sentenced to 180 days jail time and served 90+ days before being released and the case closed.
I was in jail and not able to attend a drivers license hearing on the new reckless driving charges within the first 10 days to try and keep my license from being suspended. Needless to say my license is now suspended on both charges and has been since Jan 05. A hearing will be scheduled soon and I am hoping that they will reinstate my license but I dont have any idea what kind of chance I stand. Does anyone have any suggestions that I can bring up at the hearing that may help. Also does anyone know what my chances are at getting my license reinstated?
Any response would be appreciated I need to be able to drive to help support my family. Thanks to any and all that are willing to help.
