It has been almost 2 years since my original post on this. I fell on the job 2/06. Was sent to Dr. by wc ins. company. Doctor could not diagnose and started on physical therapy. After much pain from that contacted wc rep for 2nd and was denied. Went to ortho Dr. recommended by my own family physician. Diagnosed tennis elbow and administered cortisone injection which took care of the pain but warned not to overuse as did not treat the problem itself. When I went back to workers comp insurance ortho Doc, he immedietely released me after I told him what my own second opionion suggested. Filed against closing my case and was sent to IME by wc board. Ime agreed with my personal doctor and suggested further treatment. Sent back to wc ins doc who immedietly released me again. Got an attorney and it has been dragging on. I have had one prelim. My arm has lost full range of motion and I have a lot of pain. I went to my own doc again who suggested surgery. My attorney got with them and they said I have to see their original doc again before they can approve it, which brings me to my question. How should I handle this doctor when I see him, he has so far denied there is anything wrong with me and I don't hope his attitude has changed. Also my lawyer said something about an emergency appeal but then dropped it and told me to go for this second opinion. I am afraid if they deny me and I use my own time at work they will find a say to terminate me. I am very frustrated as I received this injury on the job and see an uphill battle every step of the way. Any answers or suggestions to help me out? Oh and one side note, my own doctor and the wc ins doctor now work in the same office for the same huge ortho firm.
