What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan
I recently recived an MIP.This is my first offense and I have no prior criminal record. I have a court date for me "pre-trail", I understand this is where I plead guilty or not guilty. I am wondering if I want the diversion program when do i ask for this, do I ask at my first trial or do I plead not guilty and ask to speak with the prosecuting attorney. Or do i just plead not guilty go to my second trial and ask about it there? Also I may have to reschedule my second court date appearance, how leanent is the court and rescheduling dates? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I rescheduled my P.O.M case for a whole year. The courts understand you've gotta come up with the money and find an attorney and stuff.

If you don't get an attorney for your court case then you are the dumbest man in the world. You HAVE to hire an attorney. The courts aren't allowed to give you legal advice.
