bad checks

What is the name of your state? MN
I have a question. My fiance and i fled from MN and drove down to Florida to avoid him going to prison. Well we had no money so he used his bad checks. We wrote several (over 20 checks) in different states. I was just wondering the chances that they will extradite him to Florida or if there is some way I can take care of this without him having to do prison time for this. As you can probably tell we came back to Minnesota and he turned himself in and is now in prison. His mother is getting calls by debt collectors and is paying little portions on them. I dont have a job to pay them yet. I was wondering how long it usually takes them before they put out a warrant for him. Would they actually extradite him or would they tell him to just never go back to that state? I know in time we will pay them all off but it will take time since he is in prison right now. Some of his prison guards said they will not extradite him because it costs like 10,000 dollars to extradite from each state line. & 10,000 dollars is more than we wrote in checks total. I know we will be bugged constantly by debt collectors and i can deal with that but i cant deal with him being extradited. I need somebody that knows what they are talking about to help me. Thank you
