NJ..Where can I find info re: how long after a person is raped can they file charges? The victim was 14 at the time. The offender was 12. Both are now over 21 yrs old. He is her cousin. She did not reveal this until she was 18 years old (except to one of her girlfriends). He has been confronted by her, and he does not deny her allegations, but states that she is exaggerating some facts. After several years of counseling, she is considering pressing charges. Some guidance as to whether or not she can still file could help her make decisions. Thanks.

You/she will either have to search the NJ codes for the statute of limitations, or talk to a local DA.
