I live in PA. My husband had an affair and has moved out of our home and is living with his girlfriend. We have two children, ages 12 and 13. What should I do first to protect myself financially? He is paying support but I take care of the bills, including mortgage and insurance for his vehicles & mine. He has had two DUI's and his girlfriend has had one. At this point I just want a legal seperation. Will that protect me from any expenses he incurs or from any legal problems if he has an accident while driving drunk? What questions should I have ready when I go to a lawyer for the first time? Thank you for your help.
