where does life ins go to estate/ben

What is the name of your state?Michigan. I am sole benefitiary to father's life insurance and also his personal rep named in will. Do I have to split life insurance between all 4 kids or is it mine???

Life insurance passes outside of the estate and goes ONLY to the beneficiary named.

he had something called WILL SUMMARY SHEET and in it listed his personal rep(me) and his assests which the life insurance was listed as an assest does that change your earlier answer????
