I have asked this question in another area and havent received a reply, so I thought I might try again.
My next door neighbor decided to tear down her fence a few months ago and put up a brand new one. But, just this week she has decided to pull it up (a wooden 6 ft. fence) and pour cement from the sidewalk in the front of the house to the alley behind her house. She said the fence was just hers (I purchased my home 5 yrs ago and the fence was already here) and today a construction guy came to my door and told me that she is going to have part of my fence, which runs east and west torn down since now it is on her land. I also have a dog run, that I connected to her fence 5 yrs ago and she didn't have any objection then, that part of which will have to be torn down ( the part that is a cover so that the dogs will be able to get out of the rain).
The construction guy said she had a survey done to show where her line is but,I haven't gotten to see that survey.
My question is do I have to let them tear down a pre-existing fence and dog run? Do I have any rights considering the fence was already set as a boundary line?
Thank you,
Sydney

Nothing you have stated proves that the fence is on your property. Where is your survey? That will be your proof.

Thank you for replying

Thank you for replying- so even though the fence has been on my property since before I bought it, I still need to have a survey done (at $600) to prove that it's my land?
I thought that there was a something in Texas about a structure pre-existing.

Thank you

Thank you, I tried to contact a surveyor today but, I have been on jury duty all week and tomorrow I can actually go back to teaching pre-kindergarten.
