I have been contemplating divorce for 2 years. I live in Minnesota. I don't love my husband. My four kids are unhappy. He lives in this house because I can't afford to support my children on my own. We have been intimate, out of boredom(for Me). He is a very angry person. I want out so bad I can taste it. I can't afford to pay an attorney thousands of dollars, nor can I make it with out support. Where can I turn?????? I do work fulltime, and I provide the medical insureance (which isn't very good), 3 of my children have mild disabilities. I have told my spouce several times I want out, but his responce is always then file. HELP

Help!!!!!

My response:

First, you go into your bathroom and look in the mirror. Do you see that person in the reflection ? That's your new attorney !

Then, after all the introductions are over, and you've signed your own "Retainer Agreement," you hotfoot it down to your major bookstore and, in their legal section, you look for and buy a "How To" book on the subject of divorce.

Then, you read, and do the best you can.

Good luck to you.

Help is on the way!

I agree with IAAL. YOU are your own attorney. You can do it yourself. I'm not sure if I can say certain things here so e-mail me and give me your e-mail addy and I'll fill you in on the rest. I did my own divorce and a motion to inforce litigant rights.
