I filed for divorce in Texas using a lawyer that just gave you the papers and you do the rest. I filed in May of 2000, and have sent the papers numerous times to my wife in california and she never returned them. Now she has filed for divorce in california. Which one is going to be the right one?

Were your papers actually filed in court? Did you have her served the papers or did you just sent them?

If you actually filed the papers into court, then your are the correct ones. However, you will still need to get an attorney in CA to have hers thrown out.
