What is the name of your state? TN
My Grandmother has CDs and bank accounts that are "payable on death" to different people. Do these take precedence over what the will says or is the money to be split as the will instructs?
Thanks.

POD's can only be revised or revoked by the person who initiated the action. In order to overide a POD it would have to be proven that it was fraudulent. For example, the person was legally incompetent at the time it was made. The beneficiary can claim the money simply by giving the bank a copy of the death certificate and personal identification.
