Hi everyone,
I'm confused on what type of attorney to get for my son. He broke probation (pot in urine test); He had past feloney which I fought four months in prior court to get him off and into a correct rehabilitation (which did not happen because the P.O. did not do a proper inquire to make sure he got himself into proper rehab. It was a secondary house and when I found out and called to inform her she said she was the newly asigned P.O. and nothing could be done about it now); I told the court I wanted my son in a proper rehab for his Scitzophrenia (nothing to take lightly, he was not on right meds yet and needed counseling) and Bi-Polar along with A.D.D. I had diagnosis of my son which I gave the court. They put in the P.O. recommendation that he most likely would fail to follow recommdations because of his condition, which really astounds me. Now they say they have no idea what to do with my son that he is not fit for Probation so sent him to prison. The worst part was he urinated blood fourty days before his P.O. sent him to the State prison to be evaluated and it turned out he had two cancer tumor's in his bladder. The prison sent him back after removing them. Then they made him wait on court decision and the bus to get enough prisoner's before sending him back. I just got the P.O.'s report from the P.D. (she would not give it to me) and saw in it that my son told her of his concern of his cancer and she said she checked the medical paper and he was fine because the tumors where out. What she did not know is I was talking to the cheif doctor at prison the whole time and he stressed to me my son needed emmediate medical attention. I called the cheif doctor after my son was there three weeks and he said he wish he would have known sooner that he was there and he was going to get right on it and call the urologist and cancer specialist. My son was to get on chemotherapy. I need to get my son out of there and get him good help for his Scitzophrenia (like Atascadaro Hospital) and good care for his cancer. Or get him home so I can be with him through this chemo and take him to a professional for meds. He has two serious medical problems. I don't even know how my son is yet! He said he would sign a paper with the doctor for him to talk to me. I'm going to try and call tomarrow. The cheif doctor there told me even if my son signs the paper, it does not mean they have to tell me everything. I did not ask him what he meant by everything. I just need to know his condition period. People are telling me because the State has him now they don't have tell me anything. I believe they have been cruel enough to the both of us already. His first surgery also. I've cried my heart out and still do at times. I would do a suit, also. You would think there would be someone out there from some sort of disability association that could be of help, also. I'm thinking a criminal lawyer. Maybe he could help with all involved. Would appreciate any help from anyone on what I should do.
