What is the name of your state?[Georgia] To my previous post, where my ex-husband forged my signature to the back of an insurance refund [made out to both of us], I was directed toward a civil suit. Does anyone know if any criminal act was committed? I want to pursue whatever possible recourse I can -- for a number of reasons -- and I don't know which Court would be appropriate. Also, my ex's occupation requires the utmost of honesty. Could anyone offer advice as to exactly what I would need to do to keep myself safe from anything like a slander allegation, should I decide to report the forgery(?) to his employer??

Thanks to all that review!!!

Oh, you don't know how much I love that answer. Thank you so much for the slight prompting that I so desperately need!

I've moved my posting over to the Family Law area because there's a bit more and I just felt it better belonged there. As a junior member, I don't want to break too many forum rules  !

Although some may find it petty, to me, it is all consuming!!! I cannot afford an attorney but I'm not beyond pro se. I know this may be a bit beyond a simple divorce, but I will not rest until I do kick his ass!!!!!!!!

Thanks again.
