What is the name of your state? TEXAS

When an internet co. you have never heard of debits your account without your authorization who do you report them to?

This involves a $49.95 charge for a product never ordered.

Thanks

"debits your account"
..as in bank account ?
Go to the bank & ask to see what 'authority' they had to debit (ie a form signed by you, authorizing the deduction). Ask the bank for a form to dispute the charge.

... as is cr cd account ?
Call the cc co & ask then to send a form disputing the charge. They will ask you to call the co. who is charging and try to resolve the issue. Do so, then fill out the disput form and mail to cc co.

This may be a case of a periodic (eg annual) deduction which you authorized but have forgotten, or
the bank (or charging co) may have charged the wrong acct number.

Almost sounds like one of those offers you get to try out a service for 30 days free and if you don't specifically cancel in the way as outlined in the TOS they start charging you a per month fee.

OP have you filled out anything in the last 2 months or so on the internet for a free trial of anything? Or have you been solicited over the phone for a free trial of a service?

Call the company who did the debit and ask who made a purchase and, if an item was ordered, where it was sent., Make sure someone didn't fraudulently use your account.

Makes sense to me. Amazing how some people automatically assume it's fraud if it turns
out to be a service they've conveniently forgotten.
