i was divorced in nj last year and it went on for over 15 months. we did not have a house or kids just a $10,000 engagement ring. we were marred 18 months and my lawyer said that i was not necessarily entitled to the ring so she charged me $11,000 to fight so that i could keep it. why wouldn't i be entitled to it in the first place? thx! If you actually married then you are fully entilied to the ring. I think you got screwed by your attorney.
