What is the name of your state? TX

If one parent is behaving in a manor (extreme PAS, for example) that necessitates a GAL or court ordered counseling, who is normally ordered to pay for those items? The parent that requests them? The parent that necessitated those services? Both?

most times both parents are responsible for payment of gal services equally, although there are situations where it has been only one party responsible for payment....

Thank you both.

I'm dealing with a situation in which the judge will undoubtedly be able to see that the other party is nuts.

Would it be wrong to ask the court to have the other party be 100% financially responsible for this situation that they've created? I'm prepared to pay (the child definately needs help) but would like to have the other party get a clear message in the process.

Normally the court will only order one party to pay 100% of the cost if the accusations being made are determined to be false. However, it won't hurt to ask the court to hold the responsible party 100% accountable for the cast when and if the accusations are proven to be true.
