What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alaska

In Alaska when injured by a hospital nurse in the course of treatment (did not follow doctor's or hospital's instructions in regard to inserting an intravenous needle for blood work into a patient known to be suffering from RSD) can you sue the hospital for professional medical malpractice in addition to suing the hospital for negligence or gross negligence? In other words, can a hospital be sued for medical malpractice? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

If you want to sue, you NEED a lawyer. You can't do it on your own, a malpractice action is NOT a do-it-yourself project.

Your lawyer will name every single person who had contact with you during the episode, from the hospital on down to the nurse's aids.

The answer to your question is, "yes". It is known as "respondeat superior". You can find more information about the hospital's liability for its employees by searching respondeat superior.
